Outcomes & Measures: (self-reported)

Outcome 1
Our faith based empowerment initiative helps grow healthy individuals and familes by providing education and encoragement for those who are grappling with the myrid challenges that face families trying to overcome poverty and at-risk conditions.

Recovered and Redeemed provides a broad range of mentoring services along with a comprehensive curriculum, effectively striking at the heart of issues that keep people from reaching their potential.

Using a research-based "structured, team approach to nentoring" that maximizes the impact of the mentor each family participates as a partner with their mentor/team, so that they make a personal investment in their own future, which is multipled by the effots of the mentor. This approach reduces dependency and builds conficence.

Measure
75% of participants will be linked to a church family.

Families and individuals grow in hope.

They experience a supportive community and develop skills.

Families and individuals are linked to mentors from the Christian community.

Outcome 2
Participats are able to identify their own underlying causes of personal and relational problems through a Christ centered recovery program for substnce abuse issues.

Measure
At the end of the 6 week series 100% of the particiapnts understand what happens to the brain and the physical body when one is addicted to and abuses substances.

Relaps prevention -

6 months 50% remain drug free

12 months 75% are drug free though they might have had a relaps they have stayed in the program and recovered

24 months 90% are now drug free though they may have had more than one relasp they have stayed in the program and are drug free.

Through intervention education family members will be empowered to intervene and help their addicted family member. Knowledge attained will be measured through an assessment.

Outcome 3
Through relational empowerment every Christian is given the privilege of "being Christ" to others who are in need of physical, personal, or spritiual help. The relational ministry portion of the program helps persons struggling with addictions understand how they may be used by God to minister to others who have needs; fulfilling their new commandment to love others as Christ has loved us.

The best way to understand and learn anything is by doing. All aspects of the program provide participants with options to "do" in order to understand and gain knowledge.

Measure
Participants in the program will gain a deeper understanding about what it means to be a Christian and to do the work that Christ asks us to do by actively reaching out to others in need.

100% of participants will volunteer early in the program.

Outcome 4
The program promotes networking with other Ministeries and Church groups to refer those in need so we are able to compliment traditional social services support with faith-based (Christian) solutions to address the pervasiveness of addiction and to encourage participants to make a faith commitment to experience a connection to God, and offer guidence on how to actually live that experience.

Without God, we can do nothing. Recovered and Redeemed strives to address the spititual needs of addicts by introducing them to and naming Jesus Christ as the higher power in their life and by connecting them with a local church.

Measure
Participants will be connected with a local church family. They will be attending church regularly within 6 weeks of the beginning of the program.

Outcome 5
The program will provide employability skills assessment, development of a good work ethic, improvement of social skills, resume development, training in interviewing techniques, volunteer work experience and job search assistance.

Measure
Each participant will have a skill assessment at the begining of the program. The training that they receive about social skills and how to develop a good work ethic will be measured in their volunteer service at CCM.

Each participant will have an updated resume and at least three interviews set up at the end of the program.

We expect that at least 45% of participants will be gainfully employed at the end of the program.

Change Process: (self-reported)

Families and individuals will grow in hope as they experience a supportive community and develop skills.

Families and individuals will be linked to mentors from the Christian community and will see first hand what it means to be a Christian. As participants volunteer in the program they will gain confidence in themselves and have the experience of being a Christian and doing God's work for His people in need. Participants will gain an understanding about how it feels to "be of service."

Being connected to a churh family will provide participants with a support system. As particiapnts understand what happens to the brain and the physical body when one is addicted to and abuses drugs they will realize that they have choices and that they do not have to feel alone in their struggle. There will always be a church family and a support system to help them as they face the unknown challenges that we all face in our human walk. They will feel less alone.
