Program Mission Statement: (self-reported)
Our mission is basic in its idea, but intricate in its results. We seek to incorporate youth of all races, sexes, and backgrounds, to give as much back to fellow brothers and sisters who as not as fortunate as we are. We also strive to teach that there is no better reward than the self satisfaction in the help given to human beings as a whole. Though “Urban Plunges,” soup kitchens, talks, lectures and extensive first hand teachings to youth and adults alike, our mission highlights the good of what can be in our current world with a push in the right direction. As Alternative for Simple Living director Sandy Olson says, “There is so much good in our world! We just have to take the time to look for it and push away all the garbage that has accumulated and is covering it up.”
