Program Mission Statement: (self-reported)

Hunger Strike Force (HSF) is a vital on-going outreach program providing food to thousands of hungry people in Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough counties in Florida by assisting more than 50 non-profit organizations acquire food in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In 2006, SCTB expanded HSF in order to provide more nutritious, non-shelf stable food on a weekly basis to a greater number of people. SCTB procures this food through a variety of sources and makes the food available to our partnering organizations. This program allows SCTB and our partners to more effectively minister the love of Jesus Christ by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of our communities. We are a vital link in this process that not only ministers to the needy, but promotes unity within the body of Christ in Tampa Bay. We accomplish so much more together than apart
