Change Process: (self-reported)
When people arrive at Aldine Y.O.U.T.H., they are usually at the end of their rope. Be it parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, probation officer, or the student themselves, EVERYONE sees Aldine Y.O.U.T.H. as both a place of refuge and a means of restoration.
Since 1990 Aldine Y.O.U.T.H. has been blessed to serve as vehicle for healing in the Aldine community. Youth are taught that they are special, that they endowed, that they are loved, that they have purpose and that they are responsible for their future. Parents are empowered to be authority figures for their children by teaching them how to nurture, how to discipline, and that they too have much to offer our community. Our volunteers are embraced as partners in the on-going transformation of our neighborhoods, giving them the responsibility to help reshape our present and our future.
Aldine Y.O.U.T.H. stands firm in its belief that we are all connected. And, until we both recognize and embrace those bonds and then develop relationships, not only will our communities continue to degenerate but we as individuals will fail to realize the full potential of everything that God placed in us at conception.
Aldine Y.O.U.T.H. empowers its clients to be everything God has already designed them to be, by helping them recognize and release their own gifts, skills, and talents; while helping them heal from the hurts and pains of their past.
At Aldine Y.O.U.T.H., EVERYONE is special...EVERYONE has a bright future...EVERYONE has a purpose...EVERYONE is connected...and EVERYONE knows it!
