Board Activities

  • Formally reviews the performance of the chief executive officer at least once every two years.
  • Formally approves the budget.
  • Ensures that arrangements with outside fund raising firms are made in writing.
  • Receives information about the financial arrangements with such firms and, if applicable, the anticipated portion of the gross proceeds that goes to the organization.
  • Has formally approved a conflict of interest policy and regularly monitors it to ensure adherence.
  • Receives, at least quarterly, the organization's financial statement.
  • Receives, at least annually, an auditor's management letter and report.
  • Convenes an audit committee.

Outcome 1
Have at least 90% of those who graduate from the program remain drug and alcohol free.

Measure
Drug testing while on the program. Follow-up visits for one year after leaving program.


Outcome 2
Have 95% of the graduates become self-sufficient by having their own house or apartment when they leave.

Measure
Will work with the graduates to obtain housing. Follow-up visits six months after leaving program.


Outcome 3
Support 100% of those on program to further their education by obtaining GED or help with college expenses

Measure
Help those in need of GED to gain access to materials and volunteer help in order to pass. Help with expenses for college courses.


Outcome 4
Help provide job skills training to when they graduate they will be able to obtain full time employment.

Measure
Assign jobs throughout the rescue mission while on the program. Help them obtain a job before leaving the mission.


Change Process: (self-reported)

Program participants change as they go through the program by their personal encounter with the word of God. While on the program, participants study the word of God on a daily basis. As they read and explore the Bible, they are encouraged to apply those Biblical principals to their lives in practical stiuations. This results in an internal as well as external change.
