Board Activities

  • Formally reviews the performance of the chief executive officer at least once every two years.
  • Formally approves the budget.
  • Ensures that arrangements with outside fund raising firms are made in writing.

Change Process: (self-reported)

Formats include one-on-one counseling and support group environments. Program participants are provided with skilled social workers to teach components of the grief process, including how to move on following the death of a loved one. Various developmental milestones are addressed in terms of coping with loss. A strengths perspective is utilized to enhance personal functioning. Participants learn how to reinsert themselves into their lives and communities. The development of individual coping skills is facilitated.
