Outcomes & Measures: (self-reported)
Outcome 1
Client sets and achieves education goals.
Measure
Documentation is collected on various forms that identify educational grade at entry compared to grade level at exit from program.
Outcome 2
Client enrolls in quality and affordable pre-natal care.
Measure
Information is taken on health care coverage at intake and monitored until the end of the program.
Outcome 3
Client identifies and solves problems that will interfere with providing stable and loving home for their child.
Measure
Problems are identified, goals are set and tasks achieved are documented in staff notes.
Outcome 4
Client demonstrates that she is educated in terms of being a wise consumer of health care.
Measure
Initial discussions of health status are conducted. Staff determines how well the client applies facts and information concerning pregnancy and her ability to communicate and interact with doctors. The regularity of scheduling and keeping appointments, as well as the up to date scheduling of baby's immunizations are noted.
Outcome 5
Client carries baby full term, giving birth, rather than choosing abortion.
Measure
Data is collected and maintained concerning the pregnancy and birth experience. Follow-up, enrollment in Life Skills, and new mom's class attendance is documented.
Change Process: (self-reported)
There are a number of indications or steps in the process. The process includes the following:
- Client demonstrates dependability in keeping appointments. Early in the process each client is given a personal calendar for organization.
- The client then shows evidence of taking responsibility for herself and her child.
- Client demonstrates that finding the forgiveness of Jesus for root sins and problems of life frees her to use her creativity to fulfill her obligations to herself and her children. She improves her willingness and creativity in solving problems.
- Client realizes that by learning God's standards and appropriating his power to follow them, life will move in a more positive direction and be less complicated by the consequences of sinful behavior.
- Through the above, client gains wisdom and confidence in caring for her children and evaluating the relationship with the father of her child.
We strongly encourage our clients to consider marriage. We work directly with approximately 20% of the fathers in the same processes.
