Program Mission Statement: (self-reported)

The two Isaac Stepping Stone Classrooms offer high-quality preschool education to four-year-old children who are “at risk” of school failure. Children are considered at risk if one or both parents lack a high school education, if they are poor, or if they live in poor housing. Our preschoolers learn the skills they need to be ready to learn in kindergarten. They can build upon this success all through grade school and high school.

Our program is definitely a “hand up versus a hand out”; families work very hard to fulfill their commitments and improve their lives in so many ways. We are breaking the cycle of illiteracy and poverty.
