Program Mission Statement: (self-reported)

Through peer educators and individual and small group interventions, ASG educates those infected with, affected by, or at risk for HIV, STDs, and TB about these infections, modes of transmission, symptoms, prevention, available treatment, and breakthroughs in research and pharmaceutical relief. ASG also links clients to services for impact mitigation. Through direct informational campaigns, ASG helps the general public to reduce their risk for HIV, STDs, and TB infections and to better understand the diseases and the needs of the infected. The objective is to help people become more welcoming and accepting of infected people thereby eliminating stigma and discrimination, the main obstacles to prevention.
