Acts of Kindness, Inc., is dedicated to alleviate hunger and relieve suffering among the poverty ridden citizens of our community and surrounding area by making available to them, food and non-perishable items, coupled with budgeting information, counseling, job resources, and referrals to other area agencies that could help improve the quality of their daily lives. The objective of this program is to collaborate with other organizations in our surrounding communities, who have similar goals, by extending to them the resources that have been made available to us and in so doing help these families and individuals to establish productive lives.

We find participants are genuinely grateful for the assistance they receive and actually look for ways that they can reciprocate. We encourage those who are physically able to come join the group of people who have already volunteered their time each month at the distribution. We have noticed the people who have dedicated their time have enjoyed being a part of a team concept. Most of the people are hard workers and by volunteering their time they have feeling of a renewed sense of dignity and pride as they contribute to the well-being of others. Others have only needed the program in time of emergency relief, such as temporary loss of employment, who soon returns to their normal way of living.
