Change Process: (self-reported)

Women who come to EPS are unusally in crisis. They offen come from generations of poverty, little education, and abuse. Change for our clients is difficut and slow.

We see change in the amount of information they have. They learn about parenting and develope skills. They become better mothers. They learn about good health for themselves and their children. They receive folic acid to assist them in having healthier babies. They receive material items needed to raise a child.

They learn about healthy relationships. They learn about resources that are available to help them deal with abuse.

Clients receive professional counseling and are assisted in developing their own personal plan. These plans involve education, parenting, work, and relationships. We have seen clients that leave abusive relationships. We have clients who complete their GED or go back to school.
